Not sure what you mean by the lost options? You may need to hit the "back" button on the furniture picker, to see the other categories.
As far as your plans are concerned, are you syncing with iCloud? You may need to force quit that app to force iCloud to re-download the plans. Whatever you do, however, do not delete the app, without a backup.
