1. Backing Up Your Files Before a Reinstall
In some situations it might be necessary to reinstall Floorplans from scratch to fix a problem that is preventing the app from opening.
Before reinstalling the app, it is first recommended to back up any files that you have stored within the app. This is not necessary if you use iCloud to sync your files, and all your files have fully downloaded. However if you don't use iCloud, you should follow the following steps to back up your files.
** Backup Steps **
- Plug your iPad into your computer.
- Open iTunes.
- Click Devices in the top-right corner. Then click
- On the Apps screen, scroll down until you see File Sharing. In
the Apps list below File Sharing, select Floorplans.
- Select all of the files that you see under "Floorplans Documents", and drag them to your desktop or somewhere else on your harddrive.
2. Deleting the App
Now that your files are backed up find the Floorplans app on your iPads main Dashboard. Tap down and hold on the app icon until all of the icons wiggle. Now tap the X icon in the top-left corner of the Floorplans icon.
The app, along with all the files stored in it is deleted.
3. Reinstalling the App
Locate the App in the App Store by searching for the word Floorplans. Open up the app detail page. You should see an Install button next to the App icon. If instead of "Install" you see the App's price, make sure you are logged in with the same Apple ID used to purchase Floorplans.
3. Copying Backed Up Files Back Into The App
Make sure your iPad is plugged into your computer and you have iTunes open. Navigate to the File Sharing panel used to backup your files in Step 1. Now drag the files you previously copied onto your computer into the Floorplans Documents box. Click Sync in the bottom right corner of the screen. You should now be able to use Floorplans and have access to all of the files you already created.
